I like the definition of comfort - to strengthen. This is active, not just sitting with them in the mess, but helping someone to rise up and move on. I also like the thought that God puts people in our lives to give us comfort OR for us to comfort. This strengthens our faith, by being part of his ComfortPlan. Our struggles prepare us for His purpose for us! To better serve Him for His purpose.
